Citi’s e-for-Education Campaign Donates $6.6 million

Citi has announced that the latest e-for-education campaign run by its Markets business, will donate over $6.6 million to 13 education-focused, non-profit organisations.
The campaign ran for eight weeks in September and October and brings the total donated by the initiative, which started in the bank’s FX business in 2013, to over $73 million. The bank donates a percentage of the business proceeds from electronic trading over the campaign period.
“We wholeheartedly believe in the power of education to help young people unleash their talent and are very proud witnessing the impact that the campaign has had over the last decade,” says Flavio Figueiredo, head of FX at Citi.
Citi says this the campaign’s inception it has supported over two million young people and helped over 54,000 schools across 81 countries.
