The Team
Colin Lambert is responsible for content for The Full FX.
Colin co-founded The Full FX in 2021 following the closure of Profit & Loss magazine, a publication he worked for from 2001, most latterly as Managing Editor.
Colin joined Profit & Loss after a 21-year trading career in the foreign exchange industry. During this time he spent the majority of time trading spot FX before he moved into a proprietary trading role. He finished his dealing career at British Petroleum. During his trading years, he spent time working in London, New York, Singapore, Tokyo and Toronto and held several senior posts including those of Chief Dealer – FX and Deputy Treasurer.
Eva Szalay is contributing editor-at-large at The Full FX
and Director of Media Relations at HokkuPR, a crypto-specialist PR agency. Eva should have had a career in foreign exchange, but like some loser, she chose to write about it instead. She started covering the world of currencies in 2009 for the Wall Street Journal, before becoming editor of FX Week. In 2018 she joined the Financial Times as currencies correspondent where she spent four years, followed by an stint at Bloomberg’s cross-asset team.
Eva enjoys data centres, Bernese mountain dogs and mustangs. Her hobbies include badgering people about gender equality and pay gaps and in her free time she likes baking. Her chosen style of humour is sarcasm and she is often found throwing shapes on the dancefloor at conference after parties.
Michelle Hemstedt is responsible for marketing and sales at The Full FX.
Prior to co-founding The Full FX with Colin, Michelle spent 15 years at Profit & Loss as Commercial Director. She was previously Head of Business Development for Futures & Options World (FOW). Her career in financial markets publishing began at RISK Magazine in 1991 and she has worked in London, Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan.
Michelle holds a degree in Law from the London School of Economics and a Master’s in Creative Writing from Manchester Metropolitan University.
Cindy Jiang is responsible for global business development at The Full FX.
Cindy was formerly Head of Events at Profit & Loss, running the company’s programme of conferences and workshops around the world. She joined Profit & Loss in 2006 from Metal Bulletin plc, following a career in China which spanned marketing, advertising and, latterly, broadcast journalism, where her roles included news anchor and radio host.
Cindy holds a degree in English from GuangDong University of Foreign Studies, China and a Master’s in International Communication from Coventry University, UK.
Helen Marsters is The Full FX’s social media manager.
