LSEG’s FX PriceStream on AWS

LSEG FX has announced that is has deployed its FX PriceStream platform on AWS Outposts in the Equinix NY6 data centre, marking “a significant milestone” in the modernisation of its FX pricing and execution services.
The firm says the deployment combines on-premises AWS Outposts infrastructure with the streaming capability of PriceStream to create a hybrid architecture purpose-built for latency-sensitive trading workloads. The new platform enables LSEG to streamline operations and provide clients with a faster, more resilient and scalable FX trading experience, it adds.
LSEG further reveals that early results have demonstrated average application latency improvements of more than 70% across migrated environments, providing clients with a more responsive and consistent pricing and execution experience.
The architecture also offers the industry a potential alternative as market participants face increasing constraints around co-location data centre capacity, the firm contends, noting that beyond performance gains, the new platform introduces a modern cloud-aligned operating model that enhances software delivery, observability, security and resilience.
The deployment also establishes a foundation for future regional expansion, with the firm flagging similar capabilities for the Singapore and London data centres.
