Caplin Launches White Label Digital Asset Solution

Caplin Systems has launched a hosted, end-to-end white-label digital asset solution designed for OTC desks, brokers, traditional finance firms and crypto market makers facing lengthy custom development or manual workflow bottlenecks.
The firm says the solution provides a native trading environment that brings FX and digital assets together within a single interface, adding that as digital assets mature, many sell-side desks continue to rely on fragmented manual processes, from quoting via chat to tracking exposure on spreadsheets.
While firms often turn to proprietary builds or AI-assisted development to bridge this gap, these efforts can involve long deployment cycles, maintenance, and security concerns, Caplin observes. It claims, however, that its hosted solution can reduce development timelines by up to 80% – allowing desks to go live in as little as 12 weeks – without the technical debt, volume-based fees, or ongoing overhead of bespoke infrastructure.
The solution is purpose-built to address the specific needs of three key market segments, Caplin explains. OTC desks and brokerages can automate execution to expand capacity without increasing headcount. Traditional finance firms gain the trade-level audit trail and data lineage required to enter digital assets with confidence. Crypto market makers benefit from a rapid distribution layer for deploying portals and capturing market share.
It is delivered on the trading-native Caplin Platform, ensuring secure authentication, centralised entitlements, and zero-downtime performance for 24/7 markets. It enables unified multi-asset workspaces for managing traditional FX and digital assets in a single branded interface, while maintaining complete vendor neutrality through open ecosystem integration with liquidity providers, risk engines, and custody partners. Additionally, the platform’s customisable architecture avoids one-size-fits-all limitations, and supports hybrid execution workflows that automate electronic trading while digitising high-touch sales inquiries.
“The digital asset market has moved so fast that client distribution technology has struggled to keep pace, leaving OTC desks and brokers under immense pressure to scale capacity without adding headcount,” says Steven Singh, head of product at Caplin. “By extending our 26 years of institutional FX heritage into an end-to-end hosted solution, we give firms the complete infrastructure they need out of the box. Institutions no longer have to choose between multi-year internal software projects or rigid third-party platforms that lock them into specific liquidity pools.”

This could be a signpost for how TradFi firms and markets will embrace digital assets. For all the hard work and occasional innovation in the digital assets space, mainstream institutional adoption – beyond the odd asset manager longer-term investment or hedge fund punting – remains elusive.
This is, as has been argued before, largely due to the lack of solutions from what many institutions still see as the “trusted” source – the TradFi world. It is always going to be harder for what are effectively (well-valued) start-ups to convince major institutions to join them on their journey – the risks are simply too high both in terms of reputational risk (the regulatory and reporting world still needs finalising), and financial (will the work get done quickly enough within the institution for the vendor?)
The simple fact is that many TradFi institutions want to get involved in digital assets, but they want the landscape and technology they use to be familiar, and, probably, from familiar sources. That being the case, it is highly likely that this will be the first of many moves by TradFi tech providers to help ease the digital asset entry pressures for their existing customers. Like it or not, TradFi seems to be coming for the crypto world.
