SG-Forge, Société Générale’s digital assets business, has unveiled a collaboration with BitPanda to offer accessibility to the former’s EUR CoinVertible stablecoin to a broader audience.
SG-Forge says the coin, which is MiCA compliant, offers a bridge between traditional finance and the digital economy, and that the link with BitPanda allows easier access for investors with the confidence from a fully-regulated environment. Bitpanda provides a regulated transaction environment, it adds, and listing the stablecoin on the Bitpanda platform will provide users with a seamless experience, with the ability to buy, sell and hold the stablecoin alongside other assets.
“This partnership is a key step in our mission to achieve broader adoption of stablecoins within the financial system,” says Jean-Marc Stenger, CEO of SG-Forge. Together with Bitpanda, we are confident in our ability to offer European users a stable, secure and accessible digital asset for trading, settlement and store of value.”
Lukas Enzersdorfer-Konrad, deputy CEO of Bitpanda, adds, “EUR based stablecoins are essential to the future of digital assets in Europe. The landscape is changing, integration with traditional finance is increasing, and fully regulated stablecoins are the bridge that will make it possible. We will work with SG-Forge to bring that future one step closer.”
