Refinitiv Nabs Best?

The Full FX understands that Stephen Best has been named head of FX product at LSEG’s Refinitiv.
Sources say that Best will join from rival CME Group, where he is head of FX solutions. He joined Nex Group in 2015 as part of that’s firm’s licensing of the FX Bridge, FX options trading technology – Best was CEO of FX Bridge – and transitioned to CME when the exchange bought NEX in 2018.
Prior to FX Bridge, Best had two spells at State Street either side of a spell at JP Morgan/Bank One, where he led e-commerce for the newly merged entity. In his first spell at State Street Best was head of major account sales and client service for Global Link, in his second he was global head of electronic trading at the bank. Best’s background was in options trading before moving to the e-commerce side of the industry.
This marks the third senior hire made by Refinitiv in recent weeks, following the hire of Sally Francis-Cole as global head of FX sales and account management and the recruitment of Geoff Jones (The Full FX weekly round-up June 29) to the FX propositions team.
