Marex Launches Private Markets FX Desk

Marex Group has launched a new private markets desk led by two hires from Argentex, to provide high-touch FX and interest rate solutions.

The desk is led by Jack Carnell, head of portfolio solutions, and Lloyd Beeston, head of dealing for private markets, both of whom joined earlier this year from Argentex, where they worked for eight and nine years respectively.

The Marex desk provides access to structured currency risk management and interest rate solutions, which the firm says serve as a key tool for private market investors who must manage exposures across both investment and financing horizons, enabling more stable and resilient risk profiles.
