Peer-to-peer FX swaps matching platform FX HedgePool has made three key hires as it continues to grow its business. Joining the firm are Jim Webb, Judith Wheelan and James Davison.
Webb has been appointed EMEA distribution director and joins from OJJ FX, an independent FX consultancy providing guidance and expertise in FX risk management and operations, which he established in early 2019. Prior to this, he was managing director and global head of business development for BNY Mellon’s passive currency overlay business, responsible for the growth and development of the business and oversight of the sales strategy.
Wheelan has been named senior business development consultant and brings over 30 years of financial services experience, having trained initially as a corporate banker with Barclays Bank. She has held various leadership positions in institutional sales and relationship management for banks including UBS, Barclays, BNP Paribas, and DrKW. She covered major accounts in the UK and Europe across insurance companies, pension funds, family offices, wealth and asset managers. Wheelan is also a board director of Realworld Capital and sits on the advisory board of FastFin, a New York City-based fintech specialising in creating software applications for the capital markets.
Davison, meanwhile, has been appointed North America distribution director and joins from Citi, where he ran the North America FX bank sales segment. Before his time at Citi, he worked in FX sales at State Street and spent seven years at Barclays, where he worked in BARX FX and Futures sales.
“The best thing we can do for our clients is to hire the right people,” says Jay Moore, CEO and founder of FX HedgePool. “We’ve assembled a talented and diverse team of experts with decades of proven experience. But most importantly, they all bring forward-looking, innovative ideas to the table.”
