Euronext FX has made two senior appointments to its business, with Stuart Parris being named head of sales at Euronext FX in London and Wyman Shing, CEO of Euronext Markets Singapore.
Parris succeeds New York-based Clinton Norton, who is believed to be exploring other opportunities. Parris has been with Euronext FX for just short of six years in EMEA sales, having joined from Brown Brothers Harriman, where he worked for almost eight years, most latterly as head of EMEA relationship management. Prior to that he worked for three years in FX sales at HSBC, and before that, 11 years at BNY Mellon in a similar role.
Shing, meanwhile, has been with the exchange group for just under five years as a sales director in Asia, having joined from RBS, where he worked for just over six years, most latterly as head of FX e-commerce sales, Asia (ex-Japan). Prior to that he spent 18 months at Thomson Reuters in a sales role, having joined from Bloomberg, where he worked for seven years as an FX e-trading specialist.
Shing moves in to the role after Trent Beacroft stepped down from the CEO of Euronext Markets Singapore position. Sources familiar with the matter say he is currently actively exploring other opportunities in the industry. Beacroft was with the exchange group for seven years in Singapore, having joined from more than eight years at Hotspot FX, also in Singapore, where he was head of Asia-Pacific.
