Dan Goldman and Levent Kahraman have been named as co-heads of global markets at BMO Capital Markets. They will oversee all aspects of BMO’s market insights, risk management, execution services and access to major markets across asset classes including debt, foreign exchange, interest rate, credit, equity, securitisation, and commodities.
Most recently both men were co-head of fixed income, currencies and commodities at the Canadian bank – in their new role they will report to Dan Barclay, CEO and group head, BMO Capital Markets.
“Dan and Levent joined BMO in 2018 with the acquisition of KGS-Alpha, a fixed income broker-dealer they co-founded and grew to a market leader,” says Barclay. “Together they bring a wealth of management and trading experience and have been critical in driving our growth agenda as leaders of our securitized products business and recently, co-heads of fixed income, currencies and commodities.”
The appointments are effective 1 November.
Both Goldman and Kahraman have previously worked at Salomon Brothers/Citi, Goldman leaving the bank as head of North America fixed income. Kahraman left Citi to join Barclays where he worked for five years as managing director in the fixed income trading business before the formation of KCS-Alpha.
