Ainsworth Joins LMAX Group

Paul Ainsworth has been appointed to the newly created position of head of institutional sales for Americas at LMAX Group. He will report to Patrick Bartle, managing director for Americas at LMAX Group and be based in New York.

Ainsworth joins from Spotex, where he spent seven months after joining the firm from Euronext FX, where he was global head of sales, based in New York – he has also worked in senior e-FX sales positions at UBS and Barclays. At LMAX Ainsworth is tasked with driving the growth of the institutional business across the group.

“Paul is a capital markets veteran and brings with him an extensive track record of success throughout his career,” says Bartle. “Paul’s appointment will propel us on towards our next phase of growth with the vision to become the pre-eminent global exchange for FX and crypto currency trading.”

Ainsworth adds, “I look forward to playing a key role in driving the US institutional business forward and increasing our market share in the region.”
