The provisional programme for the 60th World Congress of ACI – The Financial Markets Association, which is being held in partnership with The Full FX, has been published.
The one-day event, on November 17 at the Palais Brongniart in Paris, kicks off at 9.30 with a keynote address from Imène Rahmouni-Rousseau, director general of market operations at the European Central Bank, before settling into a series of panels and one-on-ones throughout the day including a fireside chat with Ivan Odonnat, directeur générale adjoint de la stabilité financière et des operations, at the Banque de France on central bank digital currencies.
A special View from the Buy Side session will deliver the thoughts of major liquidity consumers on events and conditions in market, and we will also take a look at the latest developments involving the FX Global Code. Innovation will be an ever-present throughout the day, but we also have planned a session on innovation in the post-trade space, as well as how AI and machine learning have the potential, or are, changing the nature of markets.
With sustained volatility now a feature of the FX markets, the programme will look at the impact of this change of regime on liquidity and algos – we will also take a look at the prospects for crypto markets in 2023.
As The Full FX is involved, there will also be one or two “different” sessions for delegates to enjoy, and the questions will, as ever, come hard and fast at a range of speakers from all sides of the industry. After all, the unofficial motto is “talk more, sell less”.
