Omnia Exchange, the infrastructure layer unveiled by LMAX Group earlier this year to allow the exchange of “any asset, anytime, anywhere” has announced a partnership with regulated payments platform Monavate.
The firms say the partnership will support more efficient digital asset payment and settlement for businesses, meeting the demand for faster and more flexible ways to issue, move and settle money. They add that delivering these capabilities at scale requires complex infrastructure spanning liquidity, execution and settlement. Payment providers are increasingly seeking integrated infrastructure that enables them to scale globally while maintaining a seamless customer experience.
Through Omnia, Monavate can now access LMAX Group’s institutional liquidity and execution infrastructure via a single API connectivity layer, helping streamline backend payment operations and settlement processes. By combining Monavate’s payments capabilities with Omnia’s access to institutional liquidity across digital assets, stablecoins and fiat currencies, the firms say businesses can benefit from more efficient execution and settlement processes without the complexity of managing those capabilities independently.
“Payments represent one of the most compelling applications for institutional digital asset infrastructure,” says Oscar Vickerman, head of strategic distribution, LMAX Group. “As businesses increasingly look to digital assets as part of payment and settlement workflows, access to deep liquidity, reliable execution and scalable infrastructure becomes increasingly important. Through Omnia, we are helping payment providers access the market infrastructure needed to support efficient global payment operations.”
Michael Rolph, CEO, Monavate, adds, “Payments are moving onchain, and the businesses that win will be the ones that can issue, move and settle money anywhere without touching legacy systems. Working with LMAX Group gives us institutional-grade execution and settlement underneath that, so we can scale globally without our customers ever having to think about what’s under the hood.”
