Hunter to Lead Liquidnet FI Sales

Former co-head of EBS Market Nichola Hunter has been named global head of sales for fixed income at TP Icap’s Liquidnet.
The firm says Hunter will be responsible for growing client relationships through the delivery of tailored solutions and report to Mark Russel, global head of fixed income at Liquidnet.
Most recently, Hunter was head of Rates at rival MarketAxess until February 2022. She joined that firm as part of its acquisition of LiquidityEdge where Hunter was CEO having been part of the founding team. The move to Liquidnet brings her back to an admittedly different looking firm following her eight years at Icap, with EBS.
“Our fixed income business is developing at pace,” says Russell. “In just a matter of moths we’ve introduced new protocols to trade both primary and secondary markets. We’ve also expanded geographically.
“As we continue on our mission to support the full lifecycle of a bond and a trader’s need for execution choices, Nichola’s knowledge and expertise will be a key factor in our ability to harmonise the offering and ensure it is truly tailored to the needs of the industry,” he adds.
