Circle Nails $440 Million in Funding

Principal developer of the USD Coin (USDC), Circle, has successfully raised $440 million to drive expansion in its business.
The firm says it is now “poised to meet significant global demand for its products and services aimed at marrying the existing financial system with breakthroughs in digital currency within payments and finance”.
Circle says USDC transactions now total more than $615 billion and that Stablecoin itself now stands at $22 billion.
The financing included investment from Atlas Merchant Capital, Breyer Capital, Digital Currency Group, Fidelity Management and Research, Fintech Ventures, FTX, Intersection Valor Capital, Marshall Wace, Pillar VC and Willett Advisors.
