United Fintech has followed up its recent announcement of investment from BNP Paribas and Citi with a new management line up across its businesses.
The firm, which has acquired several businesses over the past three years, says that the CEO of Netdania, Rasmus Bagger, is moving to be chief commercial officer of the wider United Fintech firm; while CEO of Athena, Luis Otero, will be chief technology officer. Darren Coote, who was named as MD of strategic accounts at United Fintech when it acquired ColbaltFX, will be the new CEO of that business. Mark Levin, who was named CEO of the CobaltFX business just over a year ago, will now be CEO of Athena.
The firm says Levin’s appointment signals a “major commitment to upscale the operations of the firm. “My role at Athena will be to expand the buy-side segment organically and through acquisitions powered by the M&A capabilities of United Fintech,” says Levin. “Athena has experienced tremendous growth over the past couple of years, and our strategic talks with new investors have confirmed our strong conviction in its suite of products and expansion of the buy-side pillar of United Fintech.”
Elsewhere, head of M&A and funding at the parent firm, Troels Lindblad, has been named CFO of United Fintech, which Elizabeth Missfeld, who was head of strategic transformation and execution, is named as chief of staff. George Govier-Rosenvold, who was a sales executive at United Fintech, has been named chief commercial officer of Netdania.
“Our strategic reshuffle aims to repurpose talent internally and highlights the depth and breadth of the talent pool that United Fintech has accumulated in less than four years,” says Christian Frahm, CEO of United Fintech. “We’re confident that the management changes will enable us to create an even stronger platform for further growth in all directions with emphasis on adopting even more customer-centric ways of working.”
