Gavin Wells, head of product strategy for the SUN platform at 360T, has left the firm. He joined 360T in 2020 with a remit to head the build of a mid-match platform for FX swaps, a venue renamed SUN upon launch last year. That work complete, Wells has left the Deutsche Börse-owned platform to pursue new opportunities in the FX industry.
Prior to 360T, Wells was head of Europe for Digital Asset, a role he held for almost three years, he joined the digital assets fintech from LCH, where he was head of ForexClear for eight years. He started his career on leaving the British Army, at Citi in 1993, rising to global head of FX in his 15 years there.
The exit from 360T has been anticipated; as the SUN platform moves from development to growth phase, the need is more for sales and relationship people to build volumes. The Full FX understands that Wells’ departure was planned to coincide with the business moving to this next stage.
