United Fintech Names Americas Head

United Fintech, which was launched to help institutions and hedge funds into the digital assets space, has named former Goldman Sachs executive Mark Lawrence as head of its newly-established Americas business.
Based in New York, Lawrence joins from Lawrence joins after 14 years at Goldman in senior sales roles in London, New York and Hong Kong, latterly as Latam Head of e-FICC with responsibility for also running e-FX sales in the Americas. Prior to that, he was head of e-FICC sales for Goldman in Asia Pacific.
Lawrence will work closely with the London-based sales team, reporting to Tom Robinson, with whom he worked at Goldman, to help scale and distribute the fintech firms acquired by United Fintech. As a member of the firm’s management committee, he will also play a role in assessing potential fintech acquisitions and is tasked with building a sales team in New York, with appointments to be announced later this year.
