Tuchman to Formally Exit Citi

Sources familiar with the matter say that Itay Tuchman is formally leaving Citi, where he was co-global head of foreign exchange.
The sources say that Tuchmann had been on an extended leave of absence as he was one of several defendants in a 2018 action brought by Australia competition authorities over an ANZ share placement. The charges, which were largely seen in financial circles as unfounded, were dropped suddenly by the authorities in February 2022.
Stuart Staley now becomes sole global head of FX at Citi, he transitioned into the role earlier this year, ostensibly alongside Tuchman, but in reality, the sources say, he has been the de facto head since.
The plan for Tuchman, who had been global heads of FX for over five years and with Citi for over 18 years is not known at the time of going to press.
