TraditionData has named John Crisp as its head of FX data product and strategy, based in London, reporting to Ian Sams, global head of product at the firm.
Crisp joins from over 20 years at GFI’s Fenics/Kace, he started as a software consultant at Fenics in 1997, before moving on to become product manager for the firm’s energy and FX products. In 2013, Crisp was named director of product group at Kace, which operates under the Fenics umbrella.
TraditionData says Crisp has “deep expertise in curve and volatility surface construction, liquidity aggregation, price distribution, and risk management”. His appointment comes at a pivotal time for the firm, it adds, as the company enhances its FX product offering amidst heightened volatility across FX markets.
“With John’s expertise, we will further strengthen our FX data solutions, offering greater market transparency to help clients manage risk and maximise alpha effectively,” says Sams
Crisp adds, “The quality and depth of Tradition’s liquidity pool, coupled with unique market insight from local desks in 30 countries, present an exciting opportunity to deliver enhanced and innovative solutions across the FX product spectrum.”
