Third Senior Departure from BNY Mellon e-FX Business?

Market sources tell The Full FX that a third – and most senior – member of the BNY Mellon e-FX team has left the bank.
The sources say that Jeff Leal, global head of spot and e-FX at the bank, has left to pursue other opportunities. Leal joined the bank in London in January 2017 from Unicredit, where he was also global head of e-FX. Prior to Unicredit, Leal spent almost six years at Nomura as global head of e-FX trading, having joined the bank in the wake of the collapse of Lehman Brothers where he was a senior quant analyst in the e-FX team.
Leal’s departure follows that of James Taylor, global head of e-FX sales, who moved to crypto outfit Unizen, and of Charl de Vleeschauwer, APAC head of e-FX, who left the bank in Singapore to return to Sydney.
