Along with the suggestion that the Global FX Committee has a winner on its hands with one of its proposed changes, Colin Lambert also discusses the continuing feedback to recent articles on FX benchmark fixes and ponders the likely response of WMR 4pm users to the emergence of an alternative.
Steven Saywell, strategic advisor to fintech research digitisation service provider Limeglass then joins the ‘cast to talk the future of FX research and, intriguingly, yet another challenge for the world’s FX sales teams. He argues good research has never been as important as it is now, but the banks especially are faced with the challenge of not only delivering the right research to the right people at the right time – but doing so in a cross asset environment.
Oh, and Lambert, of course, can’t resist popping in a few references to his Shekel-Mex trade of the year – which has nothing to do with the fact that it’s currently profitable…
