On his recent trip to the UK, Colin Lambert got to sit down with LMAX Group CEO David Mercer for a two-part conversation on all things FX and crypto, as part of the Disruptor Series.
In Part One, Mercer discusses the impact of what was then the very recent approval of bitcoin ETFs in the US and what it means for the wider crypto asset class. Lambert is keen to explore whether the approval is a market structure change or just another product launch, and Mercer explains, the answer to that question is whether or not you follow a TradFi path.
Part One then closes out with the two discussing how LMAX Group is meeting the challenges of a volatile world in both FX and crypto, particularly the importance of investment and how, not for the first time, Lambert observes, Mercer may have gone against conventional wisdom.
