Digital assets prime broker SFOX has appointed Eddy Sfeir and Daniella Gekhtman to its senior sales team for institutional investors.
Sfeir, whose hire was reported in ‘Entries & Exits’ last week (The Full FX Weekly Roundup 5 October) and Gekhtman both join SFOX as senior vice presidents of digital assets where they will assist with the global expansion of business development. Most recently, Sfeir was head of FX options trading for Latin America at Credit Suisse and prior to that, he spent over a decade as VP and director of the FX options trading desk with Deutsche Bank. Gekhtman was previously a senior interest rates trader at Jefferies.
SFOX recently unveiled a cryptocurrency trading product built specifically for hedge funds and asset managers aimed at providing capabilities previously only accessible by the market’s largest firms.
“A new frontier is upon us and the traditional firms are unrelentingly getting involved, says Shawn Eggar, global head of execution services and sales at SFOX. “Bridging the gap between the digital world and traditional finance is the number one priority as we welcome this second tranche of institutional entrants to crypto. Eddy and Daniella’s collective trading expertise brings tremendous value to the SFOX sales and trading team as institutional participants ultimately want to be serviced by like-minded traders that understand institutional risk.”
