Digital assets trading firm SFOX has named Chuck Lugay to a senior business development role.
As SVP of digital assets, the firm says Lugay will play a leading role in the global expansion of SFOX’s business development, adding he is the latest addition to the digital assets team that boasts experience working at such leading firms as Credit Suisse, Citadel, Jefferies, Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank.
Lugay joins from Nasdaq, where he worked for just under two years in market technology sales, prior to that he spent almost three years at Clearpool, a trading software provider and broker-dealer. He also spent over four years at Citadel Securities, joining the firm from an eight year stint at Knight Capital.
“We’re building a sales team steeped in the challenges that mid-to-small-size hedge funds confront in this new world of crypto,” says Shawn Egger, global head of sales and execution services at SFOX. “Chuck brings front line shared experiences that will help us build deeper connections to the leading traders at these firms as we seek to bring cutting edge crypto capabilities that these firms would otherwise not be able to take advantage of.”
