SBI Digital Markets Unveiled In Singapore

Digital assets solution provider SBI Digital Assets, has opened a Singapore subsidiary, SBI Digital Markets.
Winston Quek has been named CEO of the new business. He has spent the past three years at Cathay United Bank as regional head. Prior to this he worked for Commerzbank, Credit Agricole, RBS and Credit Suisse in FX sales roles across Asia.
The firm has also appointed Kris Hopkins as head of capital markets for Asia-Pacific. He joins from Citi in Singapore, where he was head of e-trading sales for Asia. Prior to Citi, Hopkins spent over four years as head of client derivatives execution for South Asia as Merrill Lynch, he also worked for seven years at JP Morgan in Singapore as a derivatives trader.
He is tasked with building SBI’s prime brokerage, custody, advisory, distribution and fund creation for the new business.
