Rounding Out 2022…and Unwrapping 2023 – the 360T Podcast
Posted by Colin Lambert. Last updated: January 10, 2023
For a second year in succession co-founder of The Full FX, Colin Lambert was invited on the 360T podcast to discuss with host Galen Stops, the fate of his predictions in the January 2022 edition, and to provide (alleged) insight into trends for 2023.
In a wide-ranging discussion Stops and Lambert talk through some of the key events of 2022, namely surprises in the BIS turnover survey, the extended volatility in FX markets and the crypto blow up, before attention turns to Lambert’s predictions for 2022. As has become the norm between the two, the judging on the latter was especially harsh.
While Lambert claims some decent wins in his 2022 predictions, the same cannot be said for the Trade of the Year – the results of which can be found in the last newsletter of 2022 – although he does try (desperately one might observe) to bring a positive light to the matter by pointing out the final loss was only half that of the 2021 Shekel-Mex trade!
The podcast closes out with Lambert being asked for three “nailed on” and three wild-card predictions for 2023, which duly follow, and there is also the unveiling of the 2023 Trade of the Year, details of which can be found in the first 2023 newsletter from The Full FX (free subscription here).
