Nomura Loses e-FX Sales Head

Market sources say that Ian Daniels, head of e-FX distribution, EMEA and the Americas at Nomura, is leaving the bank.
Daniels joined the bank a fraction under four years ago after spending more than 10 years at the Royal Bank of Scotland in London, most latterly as head of e-FX sales for EMEA.
Sources say that Daniels is heading to BGC’s Fenics FX platform to lead its electronic NDF offering as it seeks to build its position in an increasingly competitive space, however this could not be confirmed by press time.
The move represents a statement by Fenics, which, as far as NDFs are concerned, offers off-venue trading to non-US participants in a range of Asian NDFs – something that was a sweet spot for Nomura.
