Newton IM Bolsters Team

Newton Investment Management has strengthened its multi-asset and fixed-income capabilities with two key appointments.

Newton IM veteran Paul Brain, previously head of fixed income, is taking up an expanded role as deputy chief investment officer of multi-asset. He has nearly 40 years’ investment experience and almost 20 years at Newton IM. In this newly created role, he will continue to report to Mitesh Sheth, CIO of multi-asset, applying his knowledge to macro idea generation, portfolio oversight and product development across our whole multi-asset team.

The firm has also hired Ella Hoxha as the new head of fixed income. She joins from Pictet Asset Management, where she was a senior portfolio manager for almost five years, having joined the firm after more than seven years at Wellington Management, where she was a fixed income portfolio manager. Hoxha started in portfolio management dueing more than eight years at Invesco.
