NatWest Markets has appointed Vincent Goedegebuure as chief executive officer of its Amsterdam-based subsidiary. He will join the bank in early May 2022 and will sit on its executive committee, reporting directly to CEO Robert Begbie. His appointment is subject to regulatory approval.
Goedegebuure joins from ABN Amro, where he was most recently global head of client coverage, responsible for global corporate and institutional client relationships and the corporate finance department.
He joined ABN in 2005 and held a variety of global leadership roles in loan syndications, debt capital markets, structured finance and global markets. He spent his early career at PwC as a tax advisor before moving into corporate and investment banking at Citi in London and New York.
“Vincent joins us at an exciting time as we grow our European corporate and institutional banking franchise,” says Begbie. “Europe is a core part of NatWest Markets’ strategy, and with a clear customer and coverage focus, the region will be integral to our business as we build and grow.”
