Monex Builds FX Options Team

Monex Europe has strengthened its team with two senior appointments in FX options. Michael Huggett joins as senior options trader, and Chris Weeks joins as head of options sales. Both will report into Tom Farrow, group director of trading.

Huggett has 30 years’ experience in financial markets and joins from HSBC, where he was director of UK corporate sales, responsible for the firm’s FX derivative solutions. He worked at HSBC for eight-and-a-half years, having joined the bank from over 17 years at Lloyds Bank, most latterly as head of FX structuring.

Weeks joins from FX payments and risk management provider Convera (formerly Western Union Business Solutions), where he was head of hedging. He worked for the business for over 10 years in FX options and structuring roles.
