Although there was a drift in spot FX volumes in line with earlier venues to report results, both LSEG and SGX saw activity rise slightly overall, while 360T saw a dip in its non-spot volumes.
LSEG FX saw it handled $100 billion per day in spot FX volume in August, down 8% from July – in line with most other platforms to report – but up 5.3% year-on-year, again reflecting the wider trend. In non-spot products, however, LSEG hits its second highest average daily volume across all its platforms since it started reporting results, at $477 billion per day. This is up 2.6% on July and up 15.5% year-on-year – it is also just behind the current peak of $479 billion, set in June 2026.
Meanwhile, 360T’s total FX ADV in August was EUR 182.9, its eighth highest yet recorded, including $37.6 billion per day of spot and just over $1.9 billion per day of NDFs. Using a fixed exchange rate, The Full FX estimates non-spot ADV to have been $150.2 billion, which is down 3.8% from July, but up 13.4% year-on-year.
Singapore Exchange also saw overall activity drop, however this was largely a function of the calendar, with total volume of 8.144 million contracts working out to 407,000 contracts per day in August, up 0.9% on July, and up 54.1% year-on-year (both on an ADV-basis). Again in ADV terms, this was SGX’ sixth-busiest month to date.
USD/CNH FX volume at 206,904 contracts per day, was up 12.7% from July and 50% up year-on-year (again on an ADV basis), while INR, the second largest FX contract at SGX, saw ADV of 154,591 contracts, down 4.4% from July, but up 53% year-on-year.
