Bryan Harkins, president of Cboe’s Bids Trading and former head of Markets at the exchange group, has joined electronic credit trading technology provider Trumid as chief revenue officer.
Harkins joined what was Direct Edge as COO when it was founded in 2007 after over five years with Nasdaq. That firm then merged with Bats Global Markets, where he was head of US markets and global FX, before that in turn became Cboe Global Markets.
At Trumid, in what is a newly-created role, Harkins will oversee the firm’s sales organisation, with a focus on continued growth of its existing business and commercial leadership of its protocol, product and geographic expansions. He will also join Trumid’s executive team and report to company president Mike Sobel, who says, “Bryan is a proven leader with deep relationships and a long record of success bringing liquidity and innovation to clients at scale. Trumid’s franchise and footprint are growing quickly, and our client network is eager to engage on good ideas. Bryan’s broad experience and commercial excellence will increase our capacity to deliver at the highest level.”
Harkins adds, “Fixed income, and credit in particular, is the frontier of electronic trading. The opportunities for growth and innovation are immense.”
