Jason Daw has joined RBC Capital Markets as head of North American rates strategy. Based in Toronto, he moves from Societe Generale in Singapore, where he was head of emerging markets strategy and head of research for just over seven years. A native Canadian, Daw started his career at the Bank of Canada in 1998, before joining Goldman Sachs in Toronto in 2000. He then moved to London with Merrill Lynch, before spells with Royal Oak Capital Management and Exelion Capital Management.
Damien Loh has founded Matrix Asset Management in Singapore, where he is CEO. He joins from Ensemble Capital Private, where he was chief investment officer, prior to which he spent almost 13 years with JP Morgan in New York, Tokyo and Singapore, most latterly as an executive director on the emerging markets FX trading team.
Ron Karpovich has joined Citi as head of global e-commerce sales for its Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) business. He is relocating to San Francisco from London, where he worked at JP Morgan for over eight years, most latterly as global wholesale payment solutions head. Prior to JPM, Karpovich spent almost 13 years at Royal Bank of Scotland in London, including spells as global head of FICC e-commerce product management and the firm’s FX Micropay service.
Mike Chevalier has joined Tower Research Capital in London as director, business development. He joins from HC Technologies in London where he also worked in business development for just over three years, having joined the firm from Deutsche Boerse. He also worked at CME for just over four years in business development.
Jane Krenitsky has joined FX Hedgepool as head of product management, based in New York. She joins from more than 14 years at Thomson Reuters/Refinitiv, most latterly as head of buy side product management.
Eddy Sfeir has joined digital assets aggregation provider SFOX in Chicago. He joins from Credit Suisse in New York, where he was head of Latam FX options trading, having joined the bank in 2018 from the FX options business at Deutsche Bank, where he worked for over 10 years.
Kasper Ullegaard is joining Danske Bank as ESG advisor to large corporates and institutions. He is joining from Sampension, where he was head of fixed income, prior to which he worked at Nordea Markets and Danske in a variety of senior fixed income sales roles.
Mark Hatcher has left JP Morgan after an almost 28-year career with the bank in its various forms (starting with Chemical Bank in 1993). Most latterly he worked for almost 15 years as an FX execution trader for the FX services desk of the bank, having transitioned from a sales trading role that he took up post the merger of JP Morgan and Chase Manhattan Bank.
Thomas Haimelin has joined Silicon Valley Bank as head of FX solutions in New York. He joins from Brown Brothers Harriman, where he has worked for over 15 years, for the past six of which, he has been global head of FX product development.
Ida Maria Paaby Porsager has returned to Nordea Markets in Copenhagen as associate director, fixed income sales. She has spent to past two years at Nykredit as senior sales manager, having joined that firm from a three year stint at Nordea Markets in sales and FX trading.
Marvin Barth has left Barclays where he was head of FX and emerging markets macro strategy. He had been with the bank for almost eight years after joining following spells on the buy side in strategist roles at TIIA-CREF Endowment Management and Tennenbaum Capital Partners. He also held roles at the US Treasury, Federal Reserve Board, Citi, and the Bank for International Settlements.
Jonathan Pryor has joined treasury and cash management technology provider Birchstone Markets in London. He was last at Investec, where he was head of FX trading from just over three years, leaving the institution in 2016. He joined Investec in 2008 from HSBC where he was an FX and money market dealer.
Jim Bruen has joined Broadway Technology in New York as director of business development. He joins from Luminosity Group where he was managing partner and director. Earlier in his career, Bruen held senior relationship management roles at Fidessa, Vela Trading and Trading Technologies and served as executive director/CEO of ZincMedia Group.
Karan Jain has left Westpac, where he was head of technology for Europe and the Americas. He joined the bank in 2011 and worked as head of Markets technology, based in Sydney, before moving to London in 2016.
Julien Mareschal has joined the BCS Global Markets in London, the UK subsidiary of Russia’s BCS Financial Services, as chief risk officer. He joins from Mediobanca, where he was head of risk management, prior to which he was a senior risk manager at BNP Paribas.
Ashley Wardle has been named partner at FX risk management and payments provider Ballinger in London. He joins from a 13-year career at Monex Europe, where he was head of the FX sales desk.
Tim Kwok has joined Talos as sales director, based in New York. He joins from Natwest, where he worked in global interest rate sales, a role he also filled at Prudential Financial and Citi over an 11-year span.
