The Full FX understands that Damon Reynolds, global head of FX trading at NatWest Markets, is leaving the bank. Reynolds has been running trading for the past 18 months having stepped up from global head of FX spot and forwards, a role he held from 2010 when he rejoined what was Royal Bank of Scotland from a two-year spell with Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Prior to BAML, Reynolds worked for 11 years at ABN Amro/RBS, following the latter’s acquisition of the former.
Stephane Alex has been promoted to head of FX flow sales for global markets, EMEA and Asia, at MUFG in London. He was previously head of the global customer marketing group at the bank, having joined in that role in 2016 after a 15 year career in FX sales at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Prior to BAML, Alex worked in FX sales at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and Societe Generale.
Ben Gough has joined Fenics FX in sales and liquidity management in London. He joins from UBS where he spent 14 years, starting on the spot FX desk in Zurich and moving through various e-trading roles, most latterly, as head of e-trading strategic growth.
Jeff Dworin has joined United Fintech as sales executive, focused on the Americas. He joins from State Street’s FX Connect, where he worked for over five years in sales and relationship management, having started on the Currenex side of the business.
Sanaz Zaimi, Bank of America’s head of fixed income, currencies and commodities sales, and CEO of BofA Securities Europe is to leave the bank to pursue other interests, the bank has announced. She has been at Bank of America for 12 years, having joined from Goldman Sachs, and led the global FICC sales organisation by building the franchise and developing key client relationships globally. In addition, the firm says she was instrumental in the establishment of its new EU investment firm and the build-out of its new EU sales and trading hub in Paris. Zaimi will transition through the end of the year, the bank says.
The Full FX understands that Richard Lancaster and Jose Luis Yepez, have been named co-heads of Citi’s local markets business. Both are veterans of Citi’s FX and emerging markets business, London-based fixed income specialist Lancaster has been with the bank for over 22 years, while Yepez, based in Singapore and with an FX background, has almost 37 years at the bank.
Danny Gintberg Holm has been named head of FX trading at Jyske Bank in Silkeborg. He joins after more than nine years at Nordea, most latterly as chief dealer FX and the move marks a return to Jyske as he worked there for almost 10 years in the FX business, leaving as senior trader in February 2012 to join Nordea. Last month, Henrik Mundberg, chief dealer FX at Jyske, announced his plans to step down.
Akanimo Enang has joined Morgan Stanley’s e-FX distribution team in London in systematic sales and client services. He joins from BNP Paribas in London where he worked for just over four years in electronic client solutions for the bank’s FX and commodities business.
Ray Bencheikh has joined BGC’s Fenics Market Data as global head of data operations. He joins from CME Group where he was a director in the very dramatically named global command centre, having transitioned to the firm from Nex Group, where he was global data manager.
Former Refinitiv head of transactional FX sales Jim Kwiatkowski has joined Broadridge Financial Solutions’ LTX, an AI-driven platform for trading corporate bonds. Kwiatkowski has joined the firm’s leadership team alongside Ted Bragg, who has been hired from Nasdaq to build out the platform’s trading capabilities.
Alex Huber is joining 360T as head of sales for Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria and Italy. Based in Zurich, he joins from a five year spell at BNP Paribas as director of corporate and institutional sales for Switzerland. Prior to BNP Huber had European-focused FX and precious metals sales role at both Barclays and Credit Suisse.
Ant Ludlow has joined Talos as head of product design for the firm’s full crypto and FX trading suite. Ludlow has been working in the fintech space, founding two firms, Fathom and Bullet, over the past nine years, prior to which he worked at HSBC and Morgan Stanley on their single dealer platforms.
Maxine Dennis has joined Raymond James as a trade support specialist in London. She has been working as a consultant with LSEG’s Unavista for just over a year, prior to which she had a more than 30-year FX trading career including spells at UBS, Citi, Newedge and Fuji Bank.
Chul Lim has joined Capital.com as CEO for Asia. Based in Singapore, he joins from Exness, where he was regional director for Asia.
Simone Halpin has joined SimCorp as senior sales manager, she will be based in Sydney. Halpin has been on extended maternity leave but was last at Thomson Reuters in Sydney, where she worked for almost six years as a director, transactional sales on FXall. Prior to that she worked for State Street’s Global Link in Sydney for almost 12 years in business development.
Michael Walsh has joined the Standard Chartered/Northern Trust joint venture Zodia Markets as head of distribution and CEO-elect of the firm’s Irish entity. Walsh has been consulting in digital assets for a year, having left alternative investment firm White Marigold Capital, where he was principal before its soft wind down. Prior to that he held the role of global head of FX institutional sales at both Lloyds Bank and Royal Bank of Scotland for just over four years apiece, having also held senior FX sales roles at ABN Amro and BNP Paribas.
Yesenia Diaz has joined Societe Generale in New York in FX e-sales. She joins from NAB, where she worked for almost eight years, most latterly as FX e-sales and distribution manager. Prior to NAB Diaz spent almost six years at HSBC in New York as an e-commerce client services executive.
Carlota Parages-Torres has joined Broadway Technology as director of business development. Based in London, she joins from a 21-year career at Bloomberg where most latterly she worked in fixed income e-trading solutions sales to UK asset managers, having started at the company in sell side order management system sales.
