Sean Cleary has joined Integral as head of OCX, the firm’s multilateral trading venue. He was last at Cboe FX, where he was global head of sales for just under four years, prior to which Cleary was head of North American sales and liquidity at State Street’s Currenex. He has also worked at BNP Paribas, Sun Trading and Icap in FX roles.
Inés de Trémiolles has been named global head of trading at BNP Paribas Asset Management. She shifts from the Corporate and Investment Bank arm of BNP where she was global head of credit trading and will report to Sophie Lugiez, head of the Global Trading Function at BNP AM.
Former CFTC chairman Heath Tarbert has reportedly joined Citadel Securities as chief legal officer, he stepped down from the CFTC role in January at the official change of government in the US.
Obi Maduaka has left State Street, where he was an e-FX quant analyst. He joined the bank in 2015 as part of its Professional Development Programme.
Alexander Sedgewick has joined Abel Noser Solutions as global head of the firm’s expanded fixed income analytics group. He joins from a brief stint in fixed income sales at Susquehanna International, prior to which he was CEO of Fincisive Strategies having taken that role from being head of fixed income market structure and electronic trading at asset manager T.Rowe Price.
David Fulkerson is joining options trading platform Digital Vega in New York as head of sales for the Americas as the platform rolls out there. Fulkerson joins from a six year spell at Currenex in the US, prior to which he had institutional sales roles at Credit Suisse and JP Morgan over an 18 year period.
Former TD Securities and Barclays FX manager John Glover has joined Ledn, a digital assets lending firm based in Canada, as chief risk officer. Glover has spent the last five years as a partner at advisory firm Validus Risk Management in Toronto. He joined there from a six-year spell at Barclays in Toronto where he ran the capital markets division, prior to which he spent 13 years at TD Securities in Toronto and London, most latterly as head of FX trading and sales in the UK.
Mark Sykes has joined Point72 Asset Management to run its special projects team. The data scientist and algo expert was chief technology officer at First Derivatives from late 2015 having previously held algo trading roles at Deutsche Bank, Q Financial, Citi and Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
Leo Lee has left Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he was an FX swaps trader in London. He joined the bank in mid-2013 after five years at Barclays, most latterly trading FX swaps and cross currency basis swaps. He is believed to be exploring opportunities in the crypto world.
Marcin Niewiadomski has been named as head of Europe for Oanda, following that firm’s purchase of Polish broking firm Dom Maklerski TMS Brokers. He will also continue as CEO of Dom Maklerski and be based in Warsaw.
FX industry veteran Joerg Isselmann has joined business IT consulting firm Preyer in Germany to work on product development, sales and market analysis. He has spent the past eight years at EBS/NEX Group/CME is a variety of FX roles, prior to which he worked for BHF Bank in Frankfurt in the FX business between 1983 and 2010, most latterly as head of the FX and derivatives trading business.
Market data solutions provider EOSE has announced the appointment of Dan Marcus, formerly global head of strategy and business development at Tradition and senior legal counsel at the London Stock Exchange, as strategic advisor, to help support EOSE in the next stage of development.
The Full FX understands Dhavarajh (Dav) Frank is joining Eurobase International Group to lead its banking division with the brief to grow, innovate and enhance the firm’s range of products. Frank is founder of Wisely Money, prior to which he was COO and CFO of Bank Leumi UK, having before that held several consulting roles with firms like Standard Life Investments.
Mike Fulke has joined Citi as public cloud head of platform in London. He joins from a 17-year career at RBS/NatWest Markets, including roles as the technical lead for the FX algo hedging and options business and most latterly as heads of cloud platform engineering. Prior to RBS he spent almost five years at BNP Paribas in London as a programmer in the interest rate derivatives business.
Former CLS head of information services Masami Johnstone has joined data and analytics provider BMLLas senior client advisor. She worked at CLS from just over 18 months having joined the utility from Euronext, where she worked for over five years, most latterly as head of buy side sales. Simon Lewis is also joining BMLL as head of partnerships and strategic alliances, he has spent the past 17 years in a variety of management consultancy roles in the fintech space.
Owen Coughlan has stepped up to head NatWest Markets’ euro swaps trading business, he has been with the firm since 2008, most latter he was director or euro interest rate derivatives trading.
James Dalton, former head of FICC digital at National Australia Bank, has joined financial software consulting firm Suite2Go in its markets and operations technology solutions business. Prior to NAB, Dalton was head of FX algorithmic execution at Citi in London.
Devin Nial has joined Lumint Corporation as chief technology officer. He joins from Acadian Asset Management where he spent seven years having joined from FX product development roles at first State Street and then Brown Brothers Harriman in Boston.
Victoria Robinson has joined Nomura Asset Management in London as a portfolio manager. She spent to last two years at RBC in FX macro sales and wealth management, prior to which was at Nomura in the bank’s cross markets trading group on the macro rates desk.
Michael Sigel has joined investment management firm VanEck in New York as head of digital assets research. He previously spent almost 10 years at investment firm CLSA as a portfolio strategist, prior to which he was a portfolio manager/research analyst at Alliance Bernstein.
Paul Griffiths has been named head of institutional business at HSBC Asset Management. He joins from First Sentier Investments where he was chief investment officer, fixed income & multi asset solutions. Prior to that, he held senior roles with firms including Aberdeen Asset Management, Credit Suisse, Axa and lnvestec.
Oliver Madden has left IHS Markit, where he was director, securities finance business development and client management. Madden, who is also the current ACI UK president, joined the firm a little over a year ago from a 12 year career at RBC Investor & Treasury Services.
Former FX and fixed income salesperson Dennis Pedersen has joined Amazon Web Services in business development. Pedersen spent two years at Nordea in Copenhagen on fixed income sales, prior to which he was at Danske Bank Copenhagen for four years in FX sales.
George Concalves has joined Mitsubishi UFG in New York as head of US macro strategy. He joins from Nomura in the US where he was head of fixed income strategy for the Americas. Concalves has also held strategy positions at Cantor Fitzgerald, Morgan Stanley and Bank of America.
