End of an Era as Jerome Steps Down at BestX

It is the end of an era at BestX with Ollie Jerome becoming the last of the three co-founders to step down from the firm, which was acquired by State Street in 2018.
Jerome founded BestX in 2016 with Pete Eggleston, who stepped down in 2021, and Aman Thind who shifted to State Street to become global chief architect for the bank’s IT business the same year. The Full FXunderstands that Yusuf Nurbhai, who was appointed COO and head of product delivery from State Street in 2021, is to take up the reins of the business. Nurbhai had been at State Street for over 11 years before moving to the BestX business, most latterly as COO of State Street Global Markets.
Under Jerome’s stewardship, BestX has expanded into other asset classes and grown the client base to over 200 from 40. Prior to forming BestX with Eggleston and Thind, he spent six years at Morgan Stanley, most latterly as head of FX and emerging markets sales and trading for EMEA. He also spent over 10 years at JP Morgan, he left from the role of FX sales and structured products heads.
