Deutsche Hires FIC Macro Sales Head in Sydney

The Full FX understands that Deutsche Bank is adding to its Australian business with the hire of Laura Fitzsimmons for a newly-created role as head of FIC Macro sales for Australia.

She will join in August and moves from JP Morgan, where she has worked for almost 13 years, the last five of which have been as head of Rates sales for Australia. Fitzsimmons joined JPM from Mako Global in London, where she spent nearly a decade as a sales trader, having started her career with Goldman Sachs in London as an analyst.

At Deutsche, Fitzsimmons will report to Matthew Yencken, head of institutional client group, Australia, and will part of what sources say is an intensification of Deutsche’s institutional client coverage in Australia.
