Former head of FICC digital at NAB James Dalton, has joined data science firm FarXchange as strategic advisor, to assist with the firm’s strategy, product development and business growth.
Dalton left NAB at the end of 2020 after a four and a half year spell, having joined the bank in Sydney from Citi in London, where he worked for 15 years, most latterly as head of FX algorithmic execution. Prior to Citi, Dalton worked in client technical solutions at State Street.
“[Dalton] has a wealth of sell-side experience, focusing on market micro-structure, trading technology, process automation solutions and the regulatory oversight that has become core to operating a modern markets platform,” says Guy Hopkins, founder and CEO of FairXchange. “His deep knowledge of the market and the needs of its participants, combined with his impressive track record in building market-leading technology businesses are an ideal fit for FairXchange as we continue to grow our team and embark on the next exciting phase of expansion.”
Dalton adds, “[FairXchange] ha[s] built a powerful analytical tool which brings concise decision support to FX liquidity managers and e-sales teams. Democratising this dataset is crucial for firms seeking to control and expand their electronic franchise.”
