Cowen Digital Adds Two

Cowen Digital, which was formed earlier this year by the broker-dealer, has unveiled two “crypto-native” hires.
The firm says that as part of “a series of new appointments drawn from leading digital assets businesses”, it has hired Jackie Rose from Blockchain.com and Chase Campbell from Coinbase.
Rose has been named director of institutional sales, and was formerly head of institutional business development at Blockchain.com for just over one year. Prior to this, she served as vice president of investor relations at Park Square Capital for almost four years, where she was responsible for managing fundraising processes across the firm’s private credit products. Previously, she worked at The Carlyle Group and JP Morgan.
Campbell joins as vice president of digital asset sales. In his previous role at Coinbase, where he worked for 15 months, he supported US clients spanning traditional finance (hedge funds, asset managers, endowments, venture capital firms, HNWIs, corporates, family offices) and crypto-native firms (mining companies, DeFi and NFT projects) as they looked to trade and custody digital assets. Prior to Coinbase, Campbell worked for Citi for just about three years in FX institutional sales.
Rose and Campbell join the existing Cowen Digital team which includes head of strategy and product, Keith Coyne, and Kyrill Firshein, senior salesperson, who both joined the firm in late 2021. Other recent hires also include David Kroger as digital data scientist; Nolan Aibel, as digital asset associate; and Juan Velez, as analyst, the firm says.
“We are delighted to welcome Jackie Rose and Chase Campbell onto our team to harness the experience they bring from both the crypto-native and institutional sides of the industry,” says Drew Forman, head of Cowen Digital. “Cowen Digital sits at the intersection of traditional and decentralised finance, providing a trusted bridge between the two. These new hires bolster our existing team as we continue to develop the business and expand into new growth areas.”
Eric Rose, head of execution at the firm, adds, “Cowen Digital is actively hiring and expanding our team in a strategic build over the next five years. Despite recent volatility in the sector, we continue to see growth and investment opportunities for the long-term.”
