Chainlink Launches 24/7 Market Data

Chainlink says it has extended its market data offering to provide real-world asset pricing on a 24/7 basis, unlocking, it says, always-on markets for onchain finance.
Chainlink 24/7 is delivered through Data Feeds and Data Streams, built on Chainlink’s decentralised oracle infrastructure that the firm says secures ~70% of DeFi, powers over 80% of lending markets on Ethereum and Solana, supports over 81% of tokenised RWA value, and has enabled over $1 trillion in perpetuals trading volume in 2026. “This battle-tested infrastructure has proven secure and reliable during the most extreme market volatility, blockchain network congestion, and major cloud infrastructure outages,” Chainlink states.
The firm adds the 24.7 market data service is “critical infrastructure for a financial transformation that goes far beyond extended trading hours”. Ultimately, it says, it unifies the world’s financial markets onchain.
Stocks, commodities, funds, and other assets from all over the world are being tokenised at an accelerating rate, opening them to a global investor pool that can access them to trade, obtain liquidity, manage risk, and put their capital to work wherever they are, at any time of the day, the firm asserts.
Chainlink argues that onchain applications have historically had to manage weekend gaps themselves, forcing them into difficult trade-offs: pause markets, rely on the last available price, or build their own off-hours methodology and switching logic. These limitations make it harder to provide a consistent trading experience and manage the value of tokenised collateral during market closures, it observes.
“For onchain finance to reach its full potential, applications require unified pricing infrastructure to support traditional assets throughout the week,” the firm states. “Not only does this make new markets possible, but it’s critical to managing risk, especially in applications with automated liquidations and risk parameters.”
