Capitolis says its UK subsidiary has received regulatory approval to operate an Organised Trading Facility (OTF) in the UK from the local regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority.![]()
The approval, which included authorisation to operate as an investment as well, means Capitolis can bring two critical components of its regulatory infrastructure in‑house. This, the firm says, establishes a strong foundation to unlock new client opportunities and enables more efficient, streamlined execution for its expanding network.
Additionally , Capitolis says the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has added the Capitolis UK OTF to its list of UK OTFs eligible for prior CFTC no-action relief, eliminating the need for CFTC SEF registration in the US.
Gavin Jackson, co-head of portfolio optimisation at Capitolis, says, “This capability allows us to engage more directly with our clients, support broader participation across our network, and deliver optimisation opportunities with greater efficiency and seamless execution.”
