XTX Markets is preparing for a change of leadership with the news that Zar Amrolia, co-CEO of the firm, will retire from executive duties in early 2023.
Ahead of that, Hans Beuhler will be joining the firm as deputy CEO in 2022. He joins from JP Morgan, where he was global head of equities data analytics, automation & optimisation, and equities sales, securities services quantitative research (QR). Beuhler has worked at JPM for almost 14 years, having joined from Deutsche Bank, where he worked for years, most latterly as global head of equity derivatives QR – coincidentally, Amrolia was at Deutsche for part of that time as global head of FX.
Amrolia joined XTX in October 2015 from Deutsche Bank, his second spell at the firm, interspersed with four years as partner and co-head of FX at Goldman Sachs. He has been the firm’s representative on several industry bodies, including the UK’s FX Joint Standing Committee and the Global FX Committee.
We are delighted to welcome Hans to XTX Markets,” says Amrolia. “He is a strong cultural fit and will bring a wealth of experience to the firm.”
Alex Gerko, founder and co-CEO of XTX Markets, adds, “I am looking forward to working closely with Hans as XTX enters its next phase of growth.”
