After just under seven years away from the bank, Darren Boulos is returning to Deutsche Bank in Sydney to take up the role of co-head of global FX for Asia-Pacific. Boulos left Deutsche in October 2015 and moved to Singapore to head up FX sales and trading for APAC at BNY Mellon.
In his previous stint at Deutsche Boulos spent over nine years with the bank, most latterly as head of FIC. Prior to that he worked at RBC in Sydney, Credit Suisse in Singapore, Tokyo and London, as well as at HSBC and Rabobank in Sydney and Singapore respectively.
“As we continue to invest in areas where we see considerable opportunity, we look forward to having Darren re-join the team to help drive our leading GFX franchise across Asia Pacific, the growth engine for our bank,” says Russell LaScala, global head of FX at Deutsche Bank.
“We look forward to welcoming Darren back to Deutsche Bank in Australia and further developing our position as one of Deutsche Bank’s global FX hubs,” adds Glenn Morgan, CEO for Australia.
Boulos takes over from Lee Merchant, who recently relocated to London to take on the role as global head of spot trading, Deutsche says an announcement regarding Boulos’ co-head will come in due course.
