BNY Mellon Names Digital Assets Head

Caroline Butler has been named as CEO of BNY Mellon’s Digital Assets division, she will lead the bank’s commercial digital assets initiatives and report to Roman Regelman, CEO of the bank’s securities services and digital division.
Butler joined BNY Mellon in mid-2020 after almost 22 years at JP Morgan, the last six years of which she was head of global custody product for the Americas. She joined BNYM as global head of custody, tax, regulatory and network management, before taking on the role as CEO of custody services at the start of 2022.
