FX, futures and equities execution and analysis firm BestEx Research has appointed a head of execution services for Europe.
Nick Ashwin joins the firm after just over a year with Barclays, where he worked in futures execution services. Prior to his spell at Barclays, Ashwin spent six years with Quantitative Brokers as head of client execution services for EMEA, he started his career with spells at Liquidnet as an analyst for a year and then at ITG as a FIX analyst for seven months.
“Performance improvement is an iterative and collaborative process unique to each client’s trading, and the expansion of our execution services team in the US, EU, and APAC underscores our commitment to serving our clients with active consultation around strategy selection and its impact on performance,” says Nigam Saraiya, chief product officer, BestEx Research. “Welcoming Nick and his depth of experience to our rapidly growing team means we can better serve our clients globally with customised support.”
Ashwin adds, “The ability to provide customers not only with high-performance execution algorithms but also the tools they need to iteratively reduce costs and measure that change is extremely exciting. I look forward to working with the team and our clients to deliver improved execution.”
