BBVA’s Corporate & Investment Banking unit has added AI-generated ideas to its structured product platform, ePricer, a release designed to make idea generation, pricing and lifecycle management more connected, the bank says.
The enhancement introduces On The Fly Ideas, which uses AI to surface ideas based on structures a client is already pricing. Also in the new release are new tools for monitoring live positions and a redesigned interface. BBVA says it also marks the beginning of the integration of BBVA Intelligence into ePricer, with additional capabilities expected to be introduced progressively.
With On The Fly Ideas, clients pricing a structure through ePricer can now see additional AI-generated ideas without leaving their existing workflow. The platform uses the context of the quote already being evaluated to surface other structures the client may want to explore.
New Price Roll & Alerts functionality introduces post-trade workflow where clients can reprice live structures using current market conditions and set alerts for automatic repricing when a defined target is reached or as a product approaches maturity.
“We’re moving from a platform that responds to what clients want to price to one that can also help them discover what to explore next,” says Blanca Gonzalez Anguita, head of e-IS e-connectivity sales at BBVA CIB. “That’s where AI can really change the ePricer experience.”
Daniel Hernandez, head of e-connectivity at BBVA CIB, adds, “AI is opening up new possibilities for how clients interact with financial markets. Our focus is on turning that technology into practical capabilities that make the client experience better, be it through client solutions where AI is embedded or enhancing our service to them as we apply AI on our day to day too.”
