Baton Systems Names Sales Director

Ronn Baker has joined Baton Systems as senior director of North American sales. He joins from Wells Fargo, he joined the bank in 2007, and was most recently director of innovation and digital strategy, spearheading the implementation of DLT, cryptocurrencies and digital assets for the FX trading and capital markets division.
Baker will be US based and report to Baton’s global head of sales, Alex Knight, he is tasked with expanding the reach of the Baton Core suite of solutions that span FX, payments, liquidity and collateral.
The appointment follows Baton’s December 2021 announcement that the firm’s DLT-based Core-FX solution had powered the world’s first interbank riskless settlement outside of CLS. The company says it has orchestrated the settlement of more than 15 million transactions over the last 12 months, and that several of the world’s largest banks are now using Baton’s technology, which has facilitated the settlement of more than $3.5 trillion of cash and securities.
