Barclays To Run Second Commissions for Cancer Event

Barclays global sales and trading teams are to host the bank’s second annual Commissions for Cancer charitable event from March 6-10.
The first event last year saw the bank donate all commissions earned from trades executed by clients using its Gator algo suite, in 2023, the Rates and Futures businesses of the bank have joined in. This year, 75% of net commissions earned from the Gator algo platform will be donated, and as was the case last year, clients who are not enabled for Gator can contact their salesperson in order to participate.
On the Rates side of the business, Barclays will donate $1 per million up to $200,000 for G3 government bonds traded electronically, including trades on Bloomberg, Tradeweb and MarketAxess. The bank will also donate 100% of global agency net commissions generated from self-executed algo flow on its Customised Algo Platform as well as its regular algo suite of products.
For the second year, the event is being run to help the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society which seeks to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, as well as improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world, provides free information and support services, and is the voice for all blood cancer patients seeking access to quality, affordable, coordinated care.
