Barclays Names Head of FX Research

Barclays has announced the appointment of Themistoklis (Themos) Fiotakis as head of FX research. Based in London, he will be responsible for driving FX forecasts across developed economies as well as the FX and Rates offering across emerging markets.
Fiotakis joins from Glenpoint Capital where he was head of research, The Full FX reported his departure from that firm on February 22. Prior to Glenpoint, he worked in global macro and markets research at Goldman Sachs, and was global head of rates and FX research at UBS.
“Themos has extensive experience on both the buy-side and the sell-side and is uniquely positioned to bring value to our clients,” says Ajay Rajadhyaksha, head of macro research at Barclays.
